How it works

How does JuggleScroll work?

You choose the apps that distract you and JuggleScroll keeps them shut. To open them, you start a juggling session: prop your phone up, juggle, and the camera counts the time you keep the ball up. Hit your target and your apps open for the time you earned. When it runs out, they lock again.

How much juggling does an hour of screen time cost?

That depends on your level. There are six, named after the football pathway: House League asks for 20 seconds of juggling per hour, then Local Rep (40s), Rep (60s), Provincial (70s), Youth Academy (1m 50s) and Professional (3 minutes). You can also set your own target.

What happens if I drop the ball?

In the default Drop Friendly mode, a drop pauses the clock — you keep what you have already counted and carry on. If you want it harder, No Drop mode restarts the count when the ball hits the floor.

Can I earn as much screen time as I like?

No — on purpose. You tell JuggleScroll how much screen time you want in a day, and that is the ceiling for the day. Time you earned but did not use does not roll over to tomorrow. Every day starts fresh.

Camera & detection

Does JuggleScroll record or upload my camera?

No. The camera is used only to find the ball during a juggling session, and the detection runs on your phone. Frames are read and thrown away — no video or photo is recorded, saved or uploaded.

What do I need for a session?

A football, a bit of space, and somewhere to prop your phone up so the camera can see you and the ball. The app walks you through setting the phone up before your first session.

How does it know I am actually juggling?

It looks for you and the ball together and counts only active juggling — a ball sitting still, or a player standing around, does not count.

Blocking apps

Why does JuggleScroll need Accessibility access on Android?

To stop you opening an app, JuggleScroll has to know the moment that app comes to the front, and on Android an Accessibility service is the only way to find that out. It is set up as narrowly as Android allows: it is told the name of the app that opened, and it is installed without permission to read screen content — so it cannot see your messages, passwords, anything you type, or what is inside any app. JuggleScroll explains this in the app before Android asks, and you can turn it off any time in Settings → Accessibility.

Which apps can I block?

Almost any app on your phone. A few can never be blocked — your phone and emergency calling, Settings, your home screen and your keyboard — so you are never locked out of something you need. You pick from a list read on your phone, and the list stays there; it is never uploaded.

Availability

Is JuggleScroll available on Android?

JuggleScroll for Android is in closed testing on Google Play, which means only invited testers can install it right now. To ask for a place, email jugglescroll@gmail.com with the Google account you use on your Android phone.

Is JuggleScroll available on iPhone?

Not yet. JuggleScroll is not on the App Store. We are working on bringing it to iOS, but there is no release date to share.

Free access & subscriptions

Is JuggleScroll free?

Your first 72 hours are completely free, with every feature unlocked and no payment details needed. After that, you can keep using JuggleScroll with a monthly or yearly subscription.

Will I be charged automatically when the free days end?

No. The three free days are given by JuggleScroll itself — they are not a Google Play free trial, and you never enter a card to get them. When they end, nothing is charged. You only pay if you choose a plan.

How do I cancel a subscription?

Subscriptions are handled by Google Play. Open the Play Store, go to Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → JuggleScroll → Cancel. You keep access until the end of the period you have paid for.

I reinstalled the app. How do I get my subscription back?

Open JuggleScroll, go to the subscription screen and tap Restore purchases. Your subscription belongs to your Google account, so it follows you.

Privacy & data

What data does JuggleScroll collect?

Very little. You never create an account with an email or password — JuggleScroll uses an anonymous ID. The only thing backed up is the date and length of each juggling session you win, so your streak survives a reinstall. Your name, goals, blocked apps and earned time stay on your phone. There are no ads and no analytics SDK. The Privacy Policy lists everything.

How do I delete my data?

Inside the app: You tab → Your data → Delete my data → Yes, delete everything. That removes your anonymous account and every session stored on our server. The Support page explains the one small record that is kept, and why.
